What makes a Catalytic Converter illegal in California?
-What is it that makes it illegal here in this Liberal state. I want to buy Magnaflow high flow cat, but california is the only state that doens't let you buy one. Any help please? In california any aftermarket part that is not to OEM Spec must get tested by and approved by the California Air Resource Board. And will have a CARB # that you need to display under your hood so smog techs don't fail you on visual. Its not that it is illegal, just not approved. It is an expensive process and one most aftermarket parts makers choose to bypass.
One way to get around it is to find another car that has a stock higher flowing cat (most sports cars) order one of those, and adapt it to yours. It will look OEM and no tech should be able to tell.

Wheel spacers choice?
-I own a 97' Geo Tracker 4x4 two door with 15 inch, 5 lugnut rims.
I'm looking into getting some spacers so that it handles better on the road and to improve the overall looks.
http://www.amazon.com/Topline-65506550-5-5-Adaptor/dp/B001P2FOCG/ref=sr_1_29?ie=UTF8&qid=1308016901&sr=8-29
These are some spacers I've found but, I do not know whether or not they are capatible with my wheels.
Any input would be nice.Sean is right, spacers screw up your suspension geometry. Your Geo will handle worse, not better.
Look at it this way...does any car manufacturer have spacers in the original spec? No, they do not, there is a reason.

What happened to the digital clock in my car?
-The digital clock in my 2003 Toyota Corolla is not working now. It just went away. What happened? And is there any way I can get it to work again?
Car out of gas, if gas is 1 year old?
-So I ran out of gas, dummy me, and my gas can has gas in it that is probably 1-2 years old. Is it okay to use it? Or is it too old and could create more trouble for me if I put it in my car gas tank?Should be ok to use assuming it was sealed tightly.Gas goes bad in a couple months with the "crap" in it.
Get some new stuff.
