What are the steps to getting your permit?

-Like, i would want to know exactly happens, do you go in a room? do they take your phone? do they watch you? I would like to know what exactly happens? Step by step... are there people with you?You go to your local DMV, stand in line (I forgot which line it is) and you fill out your general information, (DOB, height, hair color, if you're a girl or boy, address, eye color, and social security number.) Then you take a photo (be ready, since they person that does it never gives you any warning as to when your photo is being taken, so you may have a chance to smile. You go into another line and you get your number. When your number is called, you go to the counter that your name was called. Keep in mind that this could take hours, and I had to wait about an hour and a half. For the permit test you go to a different room, and you cannot have anything except your number. After getting called, they give you a pencil and your test and you can choose your seat (well, the day I went wasn't crowded) and you desk has a sheet with all the road signs. You take the test and give it back to the person at the counter, and then.... more waiting... this time it was only a half hour. Your NAME gets called and you learn your grade and if you got anything wrong, which questions you got wrong and why it's wrong. After a little more waiting, you get a temporary document that is your permit (the real permit will come in the mail within a few weeks. You leave the DMV and CONGRADULATIONS! YOU CAN NOW HIT THE ROAD!
