Would it be advisable to take driving lessons with two different instructors?

-I am about to start driving lessons at home (Wolverhampton) but I am going to university in oxford do you think it would be advisable for me to take driving lessons while in oxford and when I visit home or stick to taking lessons in one place as the different instructors may well have different techniques etc.Hi,

I'm a driving instructor and think that yes, this would be a good idea. Some instructors might not be too pleased about this but ignore that can keep up your practice. It's totally understandable that you would like to keep your driving fresh. It'll save you a lot of money too in the long run. As has been stated below already, we all might have a slightly different way of teaching but are all trained to teach the same things, to the same standard, and, if you do anything differently to what one of them would normally teach, then it should be them who adapt to help you... Definitely go for it.

Cheers

JVI think it would be a good idea to have lessons in both places, it will give you an even wider range of driving experience than if you took all your lessons in one place. I heard of a pupil recently who was taking lessons in London and was just about at test standard, she had a few lessons back home and it turned out she had never driven over 30mph. She could have passed her test, then legally been driving on a motorway the next day, totally unprepared.
That should not be a problem. Let both of them know the situation (they don't need to be from the same school) and they will understand, if they don't then find instructors who do.

All instructors work to the same DSA syllabus so will be teaching in a similar way. Any differences in techniques could be a benefit anyway as this may help you learn more quickly.

Hope this helps
Not if you are dating them both. Friday night has a habit of catching up with Saturday nights date, plus costs twice as much.

You sound like you've been to a doctor and want a second opinion on your illness. Try this, where will you be staying most often? Pick one and stick with it.
That is a difficult one to answer, It depends on you and the instructors. I passed my test a few years ago after about 12 weeks and I had 3 different instructors, and didn't have any problem.
Bit of variety never hurt anyone. The techniques should be the same since they'll both teach the correct way to drive, maybe their own personal delivery will be different but no two people are the same anyway.

I'd do it.
If you do use a national driving school. All their instructors are trained to teach the same way. Good luck.
